I stayed home from work today

and all I got was this hole in my living room ceiling. And the news that there are old gas pipes in the ceiling (something scarier than knob & tube wiring, but pretty standard and now gas free). And a big hole in the kitchen. Yes, remodeling (more like reclaiming) a house that is almost 100 years old is fun. Super happy fun.

But, soon it will be off to Lowe's to find some sort of light fixture to cover up the above-pictured hole. I can't wait to have overhead light!! Now I wonder if Josh is up for switching out the switch for a dimmer. . . .

Too bad I didn't get more work done today, too. I don't even want to think about next week, or Sunday for that matter and Dragon Boat starts soon. YIKES!! Wonder if I could get another extension on my brief on the account of I won't be able to use my arms come Wednesday morning . . .
